March outlook receives more spice

Yakuza 4 on PS3 will also be throwing its weight behind a decent looking release schedule for March. The game gets a mention here due to the fact that it offers a rather intriguing mission - one that allows you to apparently scout women, and then dress them up for some in-game cabaret club. Nice work if you can get it!

There's even a trailer specifically for this element of the game - check it out here.

Liking the look of this already!

Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out when the game sees release.

It may not see a release over here, but later this month those in Japan will be able to lay their hands on 2D fighter Phantom Breaker, for the Xbox 360. So what's so great about that? Well, the game features an all-female cast, with some rather pretty skirt designs.

Absolutely no idea who this is!

Thigh-high fishnets!

... you can check out the rest of the ladies by viewing the official site.

March is Handheld month!

March sees the handheld consoles fighting back to receive some quality costume goodness. First we have the return of Aya Brea in The Third Birthday, due for release later this month on PSP. The game looks to feature a good few skirts for the heroine. Should help keep us occupied for a while!

Loving the business suit.

Lightning's FFXIII costume is in.

... and where would we be without the compulsory maid outfit?!

That's not all, as the Dead or Alive girls are also back in action this month, in Dead or Alive: Dimensions on Nintendo's 3DS. Pretty much the undisputed queens of fan service, the DoA ladies have been strutting their stuff in various skimpy skirts since the original arcade game in 1996. Previous games have been known to feature many costumes for the various combatants, and we're sure this release will continue that theme! Now, hopefully Dead or Alive 5 will not be too far behind...

We can always rely on the Dead or Alive girls for a miniskirt or twelve!

A Blast from the Past - Part Two

Fast forward eight years from Part One to 1999, and the debut of the third chapter in the Resident Evil series.

The heroine from the original game - Jill Valentine - returned to our screens, tasked with escaping a Raccoon City that was now completely overrun with zombies.

This proposition must have come as something of a shock to Jill, who, looking at the way she was dressed, was clearly geared-up for a night out on the town, rather than an evening spent escaping the undead.

Fortunately for us, she didn't bother to get changed, and the tube-top and miniskirt combo she sports throughout the game is now something the character has become synonymous with amongst fans.

Without doubt, an outfit that has taken its place in gaming history!

Not only could Jill suit-up in her default outfit, there was also the option to wear two other costumes featuring short skirts - including a police woman get-up!

We need to get back to the days when there were so many alternate outfits!

Back by popular demand, the outfit made a welcome return in the 2002 remake of the original Resident Evil for the Gamecube. Great game, great outfit!

Looking good!

Rumours circulated that the outfit would see a return in Resident Evil 5's downloadable content. Sadly however, this did not come to pass. Maybe in Resident Evil 6 or either of the recently announced 3DS games? We certainly wouldn't bet against seeing this costume return at some point in the future!

Dynasty Warriors 7

Scheduled for release in March / April this year, hack-and-slash series Dynasty Warriors will see its seventh installment as it touches down on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Well known for its large cast of characters, this latest offering features a plethora of female combatants with some unique skirt designs. Certainly one to look forward to!

The outfits in the game certainly have a very Eastern feel.

Sun Shang Xiang returns once more.

Lian Shi is the lady with the 'barely-anything-there' skirt!

A Blast from the Past - Part One

Time for Part One now of a nostalgic trip back through the years, where we'll be having a look at some of the classic short skirted heroines that have graced our screens.

1991 saw the release of classic side-scrolling beat 'em up Streets of Rage. Not only a fantastic game that went on to spawn two sequels, it also featured Blaze Fielding, one of three main selectable characters, who walked through the streets kicking ass in a very short skirt.

Blaze in Streets of Rage 1.

Blaze in Streets of Rage 2. Check out the stocking tops!

Finally, Blaze in Streets of Rage 3. This time with added grey!

Western iterations of Streets of Rage 2 & 3 had Blaze's white panty flash animations removed - as it was deemed too risqué! Thankfully, due to the power of emulation, it's now possible to experience the original versions of these games with Blaze in all her underwear-revealing glory.

A modern update of this classic series is long overdue - imagine how Blaze could look in 2011!

Sheva's business outfit in Resident Evil 5

Thankfully, when Capcom decided to deliver some DLC for Resident Evil 5, they saw fit to dress protagonist Sheva Alomar in a business suit. Now, with Sheva running around Africa and engaging in gun-wielding combat, you'd have thought trousers would have been the appropriate option.

Fortunately for us, Capcom didn't agree and the result is Sheva locking-and-loading in a fantastic miniskirt and heels! We salute you, Capcom!

Definitely one of the best outfits of this generation.

Now, if only Capcom would give Jill her RE3 tube top and skirt, we'd be all set!

Stella in Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Whilst the release date is still to be confirmed, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, scheduled for release on PS3 (with murmurings of a possible 360 version) will feature the rather lovely-looking Stella Nox Fleuret. From screens released, this rapier-wielding beauty will be attiring herself in a suitably short skirt for our viewing pleasure.

We'll certainly be keeping a well-trained eye on this one as release approaches.

Certainly nice and short!

... and it doesn't hurt that she's a bit of a beauty either!
